Keeping you safe during Covid-19
Your health and safety is of the utmost importance to us! We are trained in food safety best practices via the Food Safety Modernization Program, and have always followed that training to make sure our customers get clean, problem-free produce. This year, in addition to those harvesting, cleaning, packing, and selling protocols, we’ll be implementing new processes to ensure that we’re complying with the current CDC guidance around Covid-19. We will continue to revise our plan for markets this summer as research and best practices evolve.
These practices include online ordering, order pickup, social distancing and masks at our market stands, hand-washing stations for both us and our customers, and extra sanitization steps throughout our processes. We never harvest when sick, and we’re the only people who touch your produce, from seed to stand. If you have specific questions about how we ensure that your produce is as safe as possible, please let us know! We know safe, locally grown, healthy food is important now more than ever. So in addition to selling at the Northeast Farmers Market on Saturdays we’ll also be offering on-farm sales on Monday nights, with the option to order online and pay ahead if you’d prefer. And because we know this is an economically challenging time for many in our community, we’re offering a pay-what-you can model at our farm stand. Learn more about how that works here. Thanks for helping us stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you this summer at the Northeast Farmers Market or our Farm Stand! |
